Taylor Budesky is a Minnesota based photographer and writer. She is a coffee & red wine lover, salt & vinegar chip devotee, & absolutely the friend you should send your sunset pictures to.
If she isn’t creating, you may find her dancing while cooking in her kitchen, hiking, or talking during a movie about how much she liked a certain shot or her predictions of the ending she’s sure to have strong opinions about.
She loves bowling but is terrible at it, is an okay tennis player, and a lover of kayaking. Taylor has been to 49 of the 50 States and has laid on the ground to take a picture of something in almost every single one of them. She loves live music, pasta in any and every way it can be made. She will always order fried pickles if they’re on the menu, will disgustingly admit to liking cold, leftover Chinese takeout straight out of the carton more than when it’s hot and fresh, and while she’s not one for choosing a favorite way to prepare a potato, she is impartial to it in its tot form.
While she thoroughly loves the great outdoors, she is terrified of grasshoppers - she blames the movie A Bug’s Life. Spiderman is her favorite superhero, she could probably quote the entirety of the movie Bridesmaids to you, and she most likely holds the record for most views of the hit TV show Friends. She’s been skydiving despite having a fear of flying and heights, and her favorite season is Autumn.
After graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with her BS in Art Education (k-12), Taylor found herself in search of a change.
As a young adult, it was easy to view change as an obstacle or something to be afraid of. Now, at 29, she believes that, while change is still undeniably scary and can be hard, it is fundamentally necessary. We change all the time for simple things without question - it’s when the change is scary that you know you’re onto something big, wonderful, and vastly important.
In search of this change, Taylor found her way back to her true passion: telling stories. She is determined to explore the world and document what she finds through her photographs, novels, and screenplays. Taylor is passionate about subverting audience expectations within melded genres, with a primary focus on Romantic Comedies currently. As a fan herself of the 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s classics, she’s excited to make the viewers and readers of her work feel the nostalgia of old stories while enjoying a new and unique one.
Taylor is actively seeking representation, both for print and screen. If interested in working together or you’re curious for more information on her projects, she encourages you to contact her using the form below.
